What Is Myopia?

Myopia is a vision problem created when image focus is in front of the retina, resulting in blurred distance vision, but clear near vision. Squinting, which reduces blurriness, is a common sign of myopia: Rays penetrating the centre of the eye are barely deviated and therefore subject to little or no blurring.

Myopes are only afflicted at a distance; their near vision is generally excellent, as long as they’re close enough to what they’re looking at

Potential myopes should undergo eye test yearly so the problem can be detected and treated as quickly as possible.
