What Is Conjunctivitis?
Conjunctivitis is an infection of the membrane (the conjunctiva) that covers the eye and inside eyelids and is due to a virus, bacteria, allergy or irritant (wind, sun, friction, etc.). p>
Solution
- Regular cleansing relieves the discomfort caused by the secretions.
- Wash your hands.
- Clean your eyes with compresses and physiological serum (or boiled water) from the inside of the eye to the out.
- Change compresses with each use.
- Avoid rubbing the eyes.
The doctor may prescribe antibiotic collyrium. In such cases, it is vital that the prescription is followed to the end. Any collyrium or ocular ointment should be discarded after use.
